Honey and I popped in here on our way home from Blue Skies today. Housed in the old Habitat unit at The Brewery, this hands on art exhibition is worth a look if you're out and about with the kids. It's free to go in and as the title suggests, everything on show is for touching, playing with and drawing on. 

Our word of the week is: Fun!

Arrrr me hearties...

When we heard that Blue Skies were hosting a series of special half term events, we couldn't wait to get involved. Purely for the outfit possibilities, we chose the Princess and Pirates Party and we were not disappointed! For the usual bargainous entrance fee, Honey was able to join in pirate songs, parachute games and have a go in a fabulous 'under the sea' maze. If that wasn't enough, she also had her first face paint (hats off to Nicole who coped admirably with Honey's constantly moving head) and wiggled away on a bouncy castle! Pirate Nicole and her gorgeous little first mate did a great job and we can't wait to come to more events in the summer holidays!

Nom Nom...

I have been following Nom Nom on Facebook and Twitter for a while now and finally got round to buying Honey some of their reusable pouches at the weekend. We have tried puréed fruit, mashed bolognaise and fromage frais in ours so far and love how easy the pouches make it for little ones eat on the go! They are easy to fill and wash really well so should last for a long time.

Fun times...

We had a great day at the Playhouse Theatre today and feel really lucky to have been able to try so many classes and activities for free! We also found some amazing bargains in the jumble sale and love the goody bag we were given after paying only £1 to go in! We joined in with Jazz Babies, Miniature Music, Tatty Bumpkin and Cheltenham and Gloucester Sling Library's fashion show as well as leading a Sling Beat demo and dance along.  Unsurprisingly after all that, Honey was asleep within 30 seconds of leaving the theatre!

Tomorrow, tomorrow, we love you, tomorrow...

Honey has gone to bed to stock up on sleep ready for the Family Fun Day at The Playhouse Theatre in Cheltenham tomorrow. We are taking part in a Sling Beat performance and workshop, as well as a sling fashion show! We are also looking forward to seeing our friends at Tatty Bumpkin and Miniature Music, as well as hopefully meeting lots of new friends and having some new adventures.

Garden party...

We are so chuffed with our new lawn from expressgrass.com. The company lived up to its name and the lawn was delivered in record time, even with a bank holiday weekend to contend with. Honey and her friends enjoyed playing safely outside at her 1st birthday party!

Happy Birthday to you...

Honey had a fabulous time playing, picnicing and socialising at her first birthday party. After saving her first taste of cake for the big day, her reaction was thoroughly underwhelming as she first of all refused it, then chewed a tiny piece as if we'd given her something terrible to eat! Thank you so much to everyone who came along and made her day so special and a huge thank you for all her gorgeous gifts, she is one lucky baby!

Birthday Eve...

On this day one year ago, we were totally bored of waiting for Baby G to arrive. We had tried every old wives tale you can think of and had even resorted to acupuncture (not fun for a needle phobe) to try and get things started. It didn't. We rang the hospital on Saturday morning to book in for an induction and to cut a long (but not as long as it could have been) story short, Honey Lola Gore made an appearance at 9:59pm on Saturday 11th May 2013. We were in and out of hospital in just over 24 hours and haven't looked back since. Honey, you have officially passed your initiation into Team Gore, you rock and I can't wait to see you in your awesome birthday outfit tomorrow!
